Welcome, Maryland Engineers! The Clark School is excited to welcome you to campus this summer and fall! To support your transition to the Clark School, all new students are required to participate in ClarkLEAD—our signature onboarding program for undergraduate Maryland engineers to help you feel welcomed, connected, and a sense of belonging in the Clark School. Explore your onboarding timeline below:

ClarkLEAD 2026

Welcoming new first-year & transfer students to Maryland Engineering!

ClarkLEAD Welcome is a one-day event for all new first-year, internal and external transfer students who were admitted to Maryland Engineering in spring 2026 and fall 2026. The program is designed to develop a sense of community and to broaden your leadership skills. This signature onboarding program, facilitated by current students (ClarkLEADERS), faculty and staff, will spark conversations around leadership, belonging, and teamwork, as well as the importance of these for engineers and engineering design. This program will be divided into three events based on major.
